Auxiliarists and USCG on Aton Patrol!

Auxiliarists and Coast Guard on ATON Patrol - The day before, we had heavy winds and rains but this day (May 15, 2008) the waters were calm and the winds just 5 to 10 knots with temperatures up around 70 degrees. After breakfast a crew of six set out to check location and correct any problems on about 20 buoys. Other then light bulbs there was only one battery that needed replacing and all buoys were "on station." The crew of [3] three Coast Guard people and [3] three Auxiliary people worked as a team. Along with learning about maintenance of buoys, which the Coast Guard people took their time to show us, we all had a great time, and we hope they ask us to help on other patrols.
